Mobile App Security Startup SEWorks, Inc. (CEO: Min-Pyo Hong) announced the global debut of AppSolid, a SaaS (Software as a Service)-based solution. AppSolid is a security solution that protects the app with strong binary obfuscation and encryption SaaS capabilities .
According to the research results released by SEWorks, Inc. last November, around 80% of the top 200 apps on Google Play are vulnerable to decompilation and are exposed to hacking threats. However, the reality is that most of the developers are having a hard time constructing a proper security system. AppSolid aims to solve this problem by allowing the app developers to solely concentrate on the app development.
A product that reflects on the global market’s needs, AppSolid is designed in such a way that comes in handy for the app developers. Not only did it receive good feedback from numerous Silicon Valley-based startups and enterprises, it also verified its quality by receiving 1st rating from Korea’s Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA).
Min-Pyo Hong, CEO of SEWorks, Inc. said, “We are pleased to introduce AppSolid – possessing both enhanced security and meeting the global standard – to the global market. We expect that every app developer around the world can protect their apps through AppSolid.”
SEWorks, Inc. has gained attention by recruiting the best white hat hackers and security specialists and by landing $1.65M of funding from Softbank Ventures and from Qualcomm Ventures within 6 months since its establishment. Headquartered in San Francisco with its Research & Development (R&D) Center in Seoul, the company focuses on the global mobile security market by starting from the US, Japanese, and Korean markets.
