On February 19, mobile contents platform Pikicast has announced it broke 100K mobile app downloads just within 4 months of its launch in Taiwan last October.

Pikicast, a mobile contents platform launched in January 2014, recently broke 13M cumulative app downloads. Continuing its popularity, Pikicast has been preparing to enter the Global market by establishing a local office in Taiwan, basing its contents in Hallyu (Korean Wave) such as entertainment, beauty, fashion, and food. Through this method, it was able to break 10K of downloads just after 4 months of its debut.

Based on last month (January)’s figure with 2.7M of app users, the number has been increasing by 20% each month. Furthermore, Pikicast has been increasing its competitiveness by partnering with Taiwan’s local broadcasting companies in promoting Korean dramas and by suggesting collaborative promotions.

Yoon-Seok Jang, CEO of Pikicast said, “The Taiwan Office serves as a bridgehead in breaking the mainland Chinese market, which is why we have been focusing on service expansion. Starting with Taiwan’s successful service establishment, we plan to regularize our market expansion in China, Japan, as well as other Asian markets.”
