Facebook Tries To Buy Asia’s ‘Snapchat’ — But Is The Korean App Just A Clone?

According to TechCrunch, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself called Hae-jin Lee, chairman of Snow’s South Korean creator Naver, with an acquisition offer. Lee rejected the proposal, believing the company had the potential for the success it has seen in LINE, its flagship messenger with some 218 million monthly active users that had a $1.1 billion IPO this summer.
