Following a success in Chuncheon, Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center(“GIC”) will host  “Gangwon Youth Startup Audition” in Wonju.

After having hosted the program for three years, GIC changed its name from “Global Venture Competition” to “Gangwon Youth Startup Audition”.

Designed to boost the startup ecosystem of Gangwon Province, the program will be held at the Wonju office of GIC and will be divided into two parts: “Startup Competition” and “Startup Club Support Project.”

During the “Startup Competition,” the participants will present their business ideas to compete.  The winners of each competition will be granted with financial support and other benefits that will help their ideas turn into successful businesses.

As for the “Startup Club Support Project,” the project will be held twice a year and select 15 teams to compete in the program.  From the selected teams, five finalists will be selected to receive financial prizes to aid their business ideas.

GIC’s Wonju office will host the programs starting from April and end by hosting demo days in December for selected finalists.  The center also plans to invite renowned entrepreneurs to the demo day to lecture and socialize with the finalists.

Anyone under 39 years of age currently residing in Gangwon Province is eligible to apply.
