Kakao Map (CEO: Ji-Hoon Lim) has updated its mobile app service to provide a more detailed information about restaurants, tourist spots, circulation markets and transportations in the vicinity of the app users. With the additional big data analysis system, Kakao’s location-based big data collection now offers a better-suited, more relevant information and services.
Through Kakao Map, the users can not only easily look up the opening hours of the nearby popular restaurants and tourist attractions but also see the basic demographics of the recent visitors.. The app also provides a graph that clearly outlines each store’s busiest time of the day throughout a week so that the users can plan their visits accordingly and avoid possible delays.
Furthermore, Kakao Map provides information on accommodations, hospitals and other facilities. As for the accommodations, the users can see all different kinds of hotels, pensions, hostels with their prices and star ratings and make reservations through the app. The app also offers food order service. The users can look up Kakao-joined restaurants to view menus and prices and place their orders right away.
