ZigZag, a fashion mobile app for women, has announced that it has exceeded 10 million cumulative app downloads.
ZigZag first began its service in June, 2015, and has gradually expanded with average of 1 million downloads each quarter ever since. Last month, it had surpassed 1.8 million monthly active users, strengthening its brand and market position in Korean female fashion shopping industry.
Amount of orders within ZigZag has grown 10% on average each quarter and in 2017, total order volumn has reached 32.6 million dollars, which is an 80% increase from the year before. Currently, ZigZag comprises of 2,000 female shopping malls, 700 fashion goods malls, and has over 4.8 million products registered on the app.
In 2017, over 60% of the users were in their 10s and 20s, and the number of users in their 30s and 40s has doubled compared to 2016. Just last month, it was searched 140 million times, revealing the app’s substantial growth.
ZigZag utilizes Big Data technique to provide personalized search results to users, and distribute optimal advertisement systems to shopping malls.
Jeong Hoon Seo, CEO of ZigZag, said “This first half of the year, we plan to continuously provide services to help female users discover their fashion easily”. He added “To further assist the growth of female shopping malls, ZigZag will also try its best to construct a B2B system”.
